Spray Copse Farm

Spray Copse Farm in the village of Bradpole. Set in a three acre plot with extensive gardens, a paddock and small copse of wood, our house occupies a lovely riverside location just over a mile from the bustling market town of Bridport and just three miles from the Jurassic Coast. Our 4-star B&B is run by Helen with a little help from the rest of the family.

On arrival all guests will be welcomed with a pot of tea or coffee and a glass of wine if desired served in the comfort of the conservatory where breakfast is also presented.

We pride ourselves in delivering excellence as standard across all areas from hospitality and the quality of our rooms to the generous and delicious “Dorset Fry” breakfasts (vegetarian option available). This is served in addition to a wide selection of cereals, juices, fresh fruit and yogurt. We are proud to use locally sourced organic produce when possible and we bake a fresh loaf each day for toast. Our breakfast should set up all guests with plenty of energy for the day ahead, no matter how gruelling and energetic they decide to make it.

Guests have the sole use of a spacious, bright and airy lounge area with a large screen TV and a log burning stove for chillier evenings, as well as the use of a large conservatory, perfect in the summer for relaxing over a glass of wine whilst watching the sun go down.

Families will be made to feel most welcome and we have a large paddock area, with a goalpost and a trampoline where children can be kept fully entertained during their stay. We can also arrange for a game of Croquet on the lawn and for keen anglers we can arrange for a bit of fly fishing on the River Asker within the grounds.

Ours is a fantastic location not just for those who want to relax and mooch around the town, but for those of a more energetic bent. Of interest to cyclists is the fact that we have given permission for a new cycle path to run through part of our wood connecting us directly to Bridport. In the future it is hoped that this path will be extended eventually connecting Bridport and Maiden Newton which is about 6 or 7 miles away. We are able to provide a secure shed to lock bicycles away, a power hose to wash them down and we are more than happy to wash and dry you’re cycling gear so that you can continue your onward journey fresh and well rested.

For walkers we have directions for many walks starting in Bradpole and have books for walks throughout Dorset and along the Jurassic coast.

The Jurassic coast at West Bay is only 3 miles drive and parking is available right beside the beach.
